San Jose, CA - Kycon, Inc. now offers surface mount modular jacks in tape and reel packaging. This fully shielded connector only measures 0.463” in height. The GM-SMT2-S2 series is made from reflow compatible, high temperature thermoplastic and features positioning pegs to prevent misalignment of surface mount signal and true SMT ground tabs. This connector is specifically designed for pick and place. The shield material is tin plated copper alloy, and the contact plating is available as gold flash or 50u”.
