San Jose, CA - Kycon’s new vertical CAT5 modular jack is designed for use in Ethernet applications and high-speed networking and communication applications such as LANs, hubs and routers. The CAT5 modular jack is fully shielded to reduce EMI/RFI and its vertical design and slim profile allow for greater positioning flexibility on the PC board. The total height of the connector is 16.5mm (0.650"). The housing material is made of gray PBT thermoplastic and standard contacts are gold flash or plated with 50u" gold for superior performance.
